When is the ball?

The ball will take place on Thursday 29th November 2018.

Once I arrive at the ball, will I have to pay for anything extra?

No. All food, drink and entertainment is included in the ticket price.

I am not an Undergraduate- is the ball for me?

Yes, absolutely! Undergraduates, Graduates, Fellows and other guests all enjoy the Fitzwilliam Winter Ball.

What’s the dress code?

Acceptable attire is White Tie, Black Tie or national dress. Sports blazers and trainers are not permitted. Those who are not properly attired may be refused entry into the Ball.

What time will the ball start?

Can I work at the ball?

Yes, we offer half-on/half-off contracts, as well as paid area manager positions. Watch our website and Facebook page for updates!

Is there a free cloakroom?

Yes, but you are not allowed to bring large bags into the ball.

Is there a designated smoking area?

Yes, but you will not be permitted to smoke anywhere outside of this area.

Will there be security checks?

Yes, there will be bag checks. You are strictly prohibited from bringing inflammables, explosives, sharp objects, alcohol, or illegal drugs/substances into the ball. Only hand-held lighters will be permitted, but if these are seen/used outside of the smoking area, then they will be confiscated. Failure to comply with this rule will be dealt with severely.
